I do not fear the dark


This is what happens when you hit deadline and you can't think of anything to write. You bring out something from your poetry file. This started as a chant and developed into something else along the way.

I do not fear the dark.
Born of Earth, we are old friends
Whispering secrets

I do not fear the light.
Kissed by Sun, we are young love
Waking the songs

I do not fear the shadows.
Drawn by moon, it is my place
Washed by dance.

I do not fear the dark,
I do not fear the light,
I do not fear the shadows.

I whisper
I sing
I dance

I bring the dark
Wrought of Earth, the first promise
Gifts of gods.

I bring the light
Wrought of Sky, the first dreaming
First of days.

I bring the shadow
Find balance, the first seeing
Bring us out.

I bring the dark
I bring the light
I bring the shadow.
