Kissed by the Lady Moon - updated

We're made of stars

Sometimes the world catches up...

But last night was different. Last night I had time. Last night I was Pagan once again. Last night was the biggest full moon we'll have for a few years. There was some cloud cover early on, but it cleared out soon enough.

If I could fly just like I wanted to
I'd bring you the wind
If only you wanted me to

If I could sing just like I wanted to
I'd sing you the sky
If only you wanted me to

Ah sweet thing
All I want for you
Is clear white sky and wings
Clear and holy things
Peace like morning brings

And if I could dream
All that might ever be
I'd dream you bright wings
To carry you ever with me

Ah sweet thing
All I want for you
Is clear white sky and wings
Clear and holy things
Peace like morning brings
Marvin Payne & Guy Randle, If I Could Fly, a song from The Planemaker

If I could fly, I would soar high in the moonlight during the full moon, letting the blue-white wash over my skin as I looped and darted.

But I'm Earthbound, so all I can do is dance and pass on the moon's kiss.

We're made of stars you know.

The heavy elements that make us up were forged in the cores of stars from lighter elements in nuclear reactions so ancient that we can't comprehend. Sunlight and starlight and moonlight are the glimpses we have of our Elder Relatives across the universe.

The universe is written in mathematics. The Mystery is written in poetry. We're born where the two meet.

At the crossroads.
