Here's the most important thing I can tell you.

Put down this book.

Go find a tree taller than you are.

Listen to it move.

Find the creatures that dwell within and on that tree.

Listen to what those creatures say. Not what you want them to say, but what their lives express.

Feel the sun kiss the leaves.

Hear the wind rustle through the branches.

Dig through the soil around the trunk and the roots with your fingers and get the dirt under your nails.

Share water with the tree.

Look through the limbs at the moon and the stars.

If you found this one living tree in twenty-seven years time, would you tell it how you looked for your own path?

Would you tell it how you lived inspired by the lives of others?

Or could you tell it of the journey you made your own?

Know yourself. Know what you can do. Know what you are willing to do. Know the price you are willing to pay. I can tell you these things, but I can not give you the experience to know.

Only you can do that.

You must decide how to touch the world around you.

When you reach out, the world will touch you in ways you can't imagine.
